SisAl - SisAl Slag Valorisation

SisAl Slag Valorization is an EIT Raw Materials co-funded by the EU project that proposes a targeted sustainable and environmentally friendly process to produce High Purity Alumina (HPA) and Silicon (Si). Its innovation is the replacement of carbon with secondary Al for Si production, and in parallel the production of a slag which is a perfect precursor for HPA.
TeSMeT, with its long-year experience in hydrometallurgical processes is performing at lab scale extensive leaching and precipitation work to produce at least 95% pure precursor for high purity alumina (HPA) production. Our group is also responsible for organizing a summer school with the aim of sharing the acquired knowledge on HPA production.
