Amalia Bebelou

Researcher

I am Amalia Bebelou and I graduated from the National Technical University of Athens in 2021 as a Mining and Metallurgical Engineer. Although in my undergraduate studies I focused on Materials Science and Engineering, in my diploma thesis I dealt with the hydrometallurgical extractions of metals from industrial by-products. Since then, I work as a junior researcher in various European projects at the Laboratory of Metallurgy of NTUA.

Being a part of the Technologies for Sustainable Metallurgy group is an opportunity and a challenge for me to develop new skills through my collaboration with other engineers as well as my involvement with cutting-edge/ key industry issues. The development of innovative ideas, the exploration of unknown metallurgical systems and the management of pioneering raw materials are some of the fields that excite me. Through my work in this team, I hope to become more methodical and capable to contribute to the modernization of industrial processes through enterprising ideas.
