Eirini Lappa
My name is Eirini Lappa. I currently work as a researcher in the group of Technologies for Sustainable Metallurgy (TESMET). I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, and I obtained my Master’s degree in Electrochemistry-Materials Chemistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2020. During my master’s studies, I was honored with scholarships in 2017 and 2018. Alongside, with my academic pursuits, I have worked as a physics teacher at a secondary education center. Additionally, during the academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, I have received scholarship and worked as a laboratory assistant and instructor for activities in the Chemistry Department at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My research interests primarily focus on the field of electrometallurgy, including electrorefining and electrowinning. I am also passionate about metal corrosion and the electrochemical composition and modification of metal passive films.
Being a member of the TESMET team is a great honor for me as it allows me to expand my knowledge through sustainable and innovative processes. Furthermore, it brings me immense happiness to be able to contribute to solve technological and industrial issues. Last but not least, working in a group where there is a culture of cooperation and teamwork is a privilege.
